This is a necklace of snowflake obsidian (a black volcanic glass with inclusions of white or gray spherulite that can look like snowflakes) beads with alternating smaller beads of sterling silver.

This necklace is made of Labradorite beads of varying sizes with interspersed smaller sterling silver ones. Labradorite is a greenish-gray variety of feldspar, which is a mineral found in igneous rock. It comes from, coincidentally enough, Labrador, Canada among other places. It has an iridescent optical effect that is known as--wait for it--labradorescence.

This is a Swarvoski beaded necklace, with larger red beads and smaller silver and white ones.
You probably can't help but have noticed that there's usually a cat hair on two on the back drops. It's because Angie insisted on helping me as I was taking these pictures.
She did start getting tired of the flash going off after a while. In the middle photo, Angie is begrudgingly modeling the Labradorite necklace. But after this, she'd had enough.
